Aware of the skills shortages in the industry, we’re continuously investing in our people and development initiatives and offer on-site apprenticeships that will help you develop valuable skills and achieve your goals.
Our Higgins' Management Trainee Programme has been running for many years and has been created to identify an array of young talent to work and develop careers within the Construction Industry and Built Environment. The programme allows individuals to get a taste for a number of core disciplines throughout the company before deciding on a discipline to specialise in. We also offer a mentoring programme, which helps provide the support and encouragement needed for career progression.

Higgins’ projects are more than just construction. Each community is central to what we do and we aim to improve the quality of life and create new opportunities for residents. We are committed to building better, stronger, safer and more sustainable communities and our industry leading Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy outlines responsible behaviour at every stage of project delivery – understanding both the short term and long term effects of construction.
On all our projects we also work within the community to create employment and training opportunities and participate in on-site apprenticeship programmes. We tailor-make our construction programmes to support the up-skilling of local people and aim to use local labour for at least 20% of our total labour resources.
